Ingrid Eckler Citizenship Award   

                Graduating seniors are invited to apply for the 2008 Ingrid Eckler Citizenship Award offered by the League of Women Voters of Palm Beach County. This award is in honor of Ingrid Eckler, a founding LWV member and strong advocate of citizen education, community service and community participation. 

We are proud to announce that this is the tenth anniversary of The Ingrid Eckler Citizenship Award.

 In honor of this occasion we are expanding the award to three seniors, and the amount of the awards will be $2000.00 for first place and $500.00 each for second and third runners up.

 Applicants must be high school seniors and US citizens enrolled in a Palm Beach County Public High School. ALL students qualify who demonstrate an interest in public affairs and who actively participate in school and community service. The Award winner will be determined by the content of the included application and through an interview by the Award Committee. 

The application postmark deadline is March 17, 2008. The application should be typed or printed. Students may include supplemental materials pertaining to their work and/or achievements.
