Issues Process Two words define the League’s approach to action: Study and Consensus. Unease with national and state problems are identified at the local level and passed on to the appropriate high LWV level. Some concerns are adopted as League study programs at biennial state or national conventions. The League then studies the issues and takes positions when an overwhelming number of local Leagues reach consensus on a position. Once adopted, the League will lobby for legislation consistent with the position. |
