Women’s March FL- PBC Chapter is so excited to see the tremendous amount of enthusiasm for our one year anniversary! Thousands of women, femmes and allies will come together in the Mana Wynwood Convention Center in Miami Florida to celebrate the one-year anniversary of the Women’s March and to launch our collective 2018 Women’s March agenda: #PowerToThePollsMana Wynwood is outdoors; if you need to sit, please bring a chair; bring water, snacks, signs, etc. and please clean up after yourself.

League Days in Tallahassee

League in TallahasseeCOME WITH US TO TALLAHASSEE IN FEBRUARY

LWVPBC members will be joining other League members from Florida at League Days in Tallahassee.

If you plan to join us, please contact First Vice-President Debra Chandler so she can include you in materials and preparation.  We will arrange for room sharing, carpooling, and a training/information session prior to the trip. During our visit to the state capitol, we will  

  • meet with state legislators
  • present a special workshop on the National Popular Vote for US President
  • attend various important workshops  

Members who attend and participate in the training will receive a stipend to help cover expenses.

As a child of seven, Copeland’s fascination with music began while watching a pianist on TV. He blocked out everything that was going on except that pianist. He remembers thinking that “if someone could only show me, I could learn to do that.” Thus began his education with the piano. This also set in motion his roots in gospel, which he achieved
from playing in church for thirteen years. This would eventually tie together with classical training to create his unique style as a jazz innovator. His ultimate influence would become Beethoven, who used the piano as an instrument to imitate the complete orchestra.
