Great Turnout for Going Solar

It was a great turn-out for the LWVPBC May 26 solar presentation: Going Solar – Myths, Realities and Practicalities, presented by Court Weisledar of FL Go Solar in Delray Beach, FL. The event was very lively with plenty of questions from the audience and lots of shared valuable knowledge and information.

Going Solar is the first in a series of free events focused on Florida’s clean energy challenges and opportunities sponsored by the League of Women Voters of Palm Beach County. Renewable energy offers far-reaching, well documented benefits for local communities and the nation – eliminating pollution, creating jobs, conserving energy, arresting the effects of climate change, reducing pollution-related health impacts, stimulating local economic development and more. Future presentations will bring to light the dangers of fracking in Florida; discuss the environmental and economic impact of rising sea waters, and provide fact-based education on climate change.
