Decisions of the federal courts have an enormous impact on so many aspects of our daily lives, from the civil rights we experience, to our right to health care, to our religious freedoms.

Voting rights issues remain in the forefront, as we continue to discuss allegations of voter fraud and voter suppression, launch efforts to repeal felon disfranchisement laws and gear up for the 2020 redistricting cycle.  Recent federal court decisions regarding roll backs to early voting, the rejection of absentee ballots and the ID laws have had an enormous impact on state legislatures that are crafting new voter suppression measures.  Supreme Court rulings on redistricting in Alabama, Texas and North Caroline will also shape the upcoming redistricting cycle.  Come learn about the ACLU’s voting rights litigation and the important role the federal courts play in ensuring the every eligible voter is able to exercise the fundamental right to vote.
